MindScope Therapy – Valor Her

Provided by: MindScope Therapy

A dedicated trauma service for UK female veterans, specialising in recovery from military sexual trauma (MST) and related mental health difficulties.

Valor Her  was created to fill a critical service gap: while many services exist for veterans broadly, there is no dedicated, gender-sensitive, trauma-informed national service for women who have served.

The service provides a comprehensive model of care, combining evidence-based therapies, caseworker support, and peer mentoring. Services are delivered flexibly, with appointments available online and in person, ensuring accessibility across the UK. Our offer includes:

  • Trauma-focused therapy (CBT, EMDR, Narrative Therapy)
  • MST-specialist psychological interventions
  • Caseworker support for non-clinical needs (housing, education, benefits, advocacy)
  • Peer mentoring and community groups to reduce isolation · Psychoeducation and workshops on resilience, transition, and recovery

Valor Her operates under the governance and clinical oversight of MindScope Psychotherapy Ltd, with its own branding, budget, and outcome monitoring. Referrals may be made by GPs, charities, social workers, or directly by veterans.

The service is delivered by a multidisciplinary team including psychotherapists, counsellors, trauma specialists, caseworkers, and peer facilitators. Structured assessments and MDT reviews ensure tailored care for each veteran.
