Scottish Men’s Sheds Association

Provided by: Scottish Men's Sheds Association

The Scottish Men’s Sheds Association (SMSA) charity is the national support body for Men’s Sheds across Scotland (over 210). It helps communities set up and sustain Men’s Sheds (that are open to all men aged 18+) by providing guidance, resources, and a strong network of shared experience.

The SMSA promotes the Men’s Sheds movement as a powerful way to improve men’s health, wellbeing, and social connection—offering a space where men can work together, share skills, and build friendships in a relaxed, welcoming environment. Men’s Sheds are run by the men for the men, are set up as independent charities and are all volunteers
