Reading Force

Provided by: Reading Force

Reading Force supports all individuals and families with a military connection to share stories and chat about books.

Reading Force is a tri-service shared-reading charity supporting the emotional wellbeing and resilience of British military families across the Army, Royal Navy, Royal Marines and Royal Air Force, including Reservists and Veterans.

We provide free books and special resources for children and young people aged 0 to 18 years, including scrapbooks and teen journals, to help families read, chat and record memories together. Taking part in Reading Force can strengthen family relationships, improve communication and help families stay connected, whether together at home or separated.

We also offer book clubs for adults, creating opportunities to connect with others, share experiences and discover common ground through reading. The book clubs help reduce feelings of isolation and foster a sense of community, with volunteer coordinators supported by the Reading Force Book Club Ambassador.
