Linburn and Hawkhead Activity Hubs
Provided by: Sight Scotland Veterans
Don’t lose sense of who you are because of changes to your sight.
Our Linburn activity hub in West Lothian and our Hawkhead activity hub in Renfrewshire provide a wealth of activities and social opportunities for visually impaired veterans. Our teams coordinate activities for veterans to explore interests, reconnect with their passions, develop new skills and meet new friends in a safe, welcoming environment. This provides them with an opportunity to chat and meet others going through similar experiences with sight loss. With fully adapted facilities and programmes, no matter what sight condition, veterans can enjoy and benefit from attending our hubs. Many of our veterans tell us the difference that regularly attending is life changing. The buildings are modern and fully accessible. They’re the ideal place to bring our veterans together. Our hub facilities include a: – woodwork workshop – arts and crafts room – cooking skills kitchen – computer and I.T. suite – sports hall and gymnasium – gardens and greenhouse
