Hays Community Hub

Provided by: Places for People

A vibrant and adaptable community space, open seven days a week from Places for People

Our doors are open to everyone — local groups, organisations, and residents — who can use the space free of charge for regular sessions, pop-up events, and community gatherings.

We’re proud to host a packed weekly timetable that reflects the diversity and energy of our neighbourhood. From ESOL classes and community walks to our Parkinson’s Café, Thrive wellbeing group, cooking sessions, youth provisions, and bingo — there’s always something happening at Hays.

Our space adapts to what the community needs. Beyond activities, we offer vital support services including employability guidance and welfare advice. Many of our groups are community-led, empowering local people to take the lead and shape the hub’s direction.

Alongside our activities, we run a thriving Food Pantry with over 550 members and a Pet Food Bank supporting more than 100 local pet owners. These initiatives help reduce financial pressure while fostering dignity, connection, and care within our community.

At Hays Community Hub, we believe community is built together — by sharing space, ideas, and support — every day of the week.
