Assistive Technology Team
Provided by: Sight Scotland Veterans
Don’t lose sense of who you are because of changes to your sight.
The Assistive Technology (AT) Team supports blind and partially sighted veterans by enhancing their independence and participation in society through assistive technology. We provide tailored assessments, digital skills training, technical support, and accessibility consultancy to clients, staff, volunteers, vendors and partners to promote inclusion and participation for our clients. Our goal is to make assistive technology an everyday enabler for all, aligning with the charity’s broader mission to improve the lives of those with visual impairments. The core of our service is independence building and we are driven by lived experience to design and deliver our services. We focus on inclusion and tackling isolation for our clients in terms of their ability to communicate and stay in contact with friends and family, or other significant people or organisations, including employers.
