At Care after Combat, we are dedicated to providing unwavering support to former British Armed Forces personnel in the justice system and their families.

Combat Stress provides specialist mental health treatment and support for UK veterans experiencing complex conditions such as PTSD, anxiety, and depression. Alongside clinical care, peer support services connect veterans to share experiences and support recovery, led by those with lived experience. Family support services help partners and relatives understand mental health challenges and play an active role in recovery. Support is delivered across the UK through online, community-based, and 24-hour helpline services for both veterans and their families.

Community Veterans Support has been a beacon of hope for armed forces veterans for over 12 years, dedicated to meeting them at their point of need. Initially created to help veterans transition from military to civilian life, it has evolved into a comprehensive drop-in and support centre that operates five days a week:

Outdoor Hub for those with Military connections

Defence Gardens Scheme (DGS) is a national network of gardens which host the delivery and evaluation of nature-based therapy for Armed Forces Service Leavers, Veterans and their Families.

DMWS provide physical, mental health and specialist wellbeing support to those with an Armed Forces connection and those in frontline public services.

Sight Scotland’s Digital Hub increases access to a variety of digital opportunities via telephone for veterans

Lothians Veterans Centre (LVC) provides person-centred, holistic advice and support to veterans and their families primarily throughout Edinburgh and the Lothians through our drop-in centre, collaboration with partner organisations, and social events and activities.

Valor Her is a dedicated trauma service for UK female veterans, specialising in recovery from military sexual trauma (MST) and related mental health difficulties.

Supporting former and current armed forces and emergency service personnel with the meaningful activity of model making. We take self referrals and clinical referrals for those that believe a hobby will help with well being. We also run face to face modelling sessions and online sessions throughout the week.

NOVA Scotland provides trauma-informed, person-centred support to Veterans in Scotland who are at risk of, or already in contact with, the criminal justice system.

On Course Foundation (OCF) delivers positive provision for wounded, injured and sick Service personnel and veterans – supporting their recovery and successful transition through confidence building golf activities and the opportunity for employment in the industry. Golf is the ‘hook’ and is one of a few sports that can be played on a level playing field regardless of injury, illness or issue – engaging beneficiaries in outdoor, physical activity which allows them to focus on what they can do.
