Highland Roots : 2 Night Outdoor Nature Based Retreat

Defence Gardens Scheme, through its Highland Roots programme, supports the wellbeing of adults from the Armed Forces community through nature-based activity, connection and purposeful time outdoors. From 25–27 September, DGS is partnering with Operation Cairngorms to offer an adults-only woodland retreat in the heart of Royal Deeside.

Stay off-grid in yurts and bell tents, enjoy woodland and outdoor activities, shared experiences and evenings around the campfire. All meals are provided, with campfire cooking forming part of the weekend experience. It’s an opportunity to step away from everyday pressures, connect with others and experience the positive impact of meaningful time in nature.
